Friday afternoon I ventured off to Descanso.  It was the height of the afternoon, so I had a lot of harsh light to work with.  I took a walk through the rose garden, up the hill and into the native garden.  I continued to hike up the hill and through the Camilla and Oak trees where it was shaded and quiet.  The one thing I truly enjoy about Descanso is that there are trails to go on without many people if you know where to find them.  I also enjoy the many trees which provide great relief from the hot afternoon sun.  It was the perfect spot to get away.
